Join us for Sunday School from 9:15 am-10:15 am through the school year. We have classes for children ages 3 to 5th grade.
Our Sunday school program uses “Spark” curriculum. We use a rotational model where students hear one Bible story for five weeks but experience the story in five different ways through science, crafts, music, Bible games, and cooking. Children may join us at any time, and bringing friends is encouraged! Come join the fun!
Please note that for the safety of our children and staff, a parent or guardian must sign children in and out of Sunday School downstairs in the opening room - the last room on the left of the lower level.
Confirmation is a very exciting time in your youth’s faith journey. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America defines confirmation as a ministry to help our baptized identify with our Christian community and to help continue its mission.
Here at Sugar Creek, confirmation is a three-year commitment starting in sixth grade and ending when students enter ninth grade. However if your child hasn’t attended before, we still encourage them to come! Each year is new material so they can join at any time.
Confirmation is a time where the pastor and volunteer mentors join efforts to help students grow in faith. We have fun learning in both small and large group activities. We use a workbook and take home sheets to continue our faith development. We participate in a yearly retreat to build friendship and cooperation among peers, and we also participate in Quake (a youth weekend in the Dells) to regain excitement in our faith. We participate in church fellowship activities as well as service projects.
At Sugar Creek we have an awesome meeting room for our youth called “The Oasis”. We have games, discussions, and various service activities throughout the year. We focus youth group on student- based interests that are adult-led, creating a fun and safe environment for all.
Check out the calendar for youth group at the pastor's home!
Youth are encouraged to attend adult education classes at 9:15 am on Sundays in the conference room.
